In Los Angeles there is Farang Foundation, a non-religious, non-political and non-profit organization, supported by Iranian and/or pro-Iranian members. Since 2008 Farang Foundation celebrates and spreads Iranian culture, through initiatives and events to safeguards the heritage and to promote the excellences from Iran such the band Pallett.
Already successful in Europe, Australia, USA and Brazil, Pallett is recognized by its community as an alternative voice of the current Iranian generation. While valorizing their cultural heritage, the band addresses modern social issues by fusing contemporary Persian poetry with classical poetry.
The Iranian band, led by Omid Nemati, is currently on tour in Europe and USA.On April 27, on “Dream Away With Me” world tour, Pallett performed at the Alex Theatre Performing Arts Center in Glendale, CA., where in addition to presenting their latest album “Nesf Ol Nahar Mabda” (Prime Meridian) they also played some of their other great hits.
