The 29th edition of the important award will take place in Sorrento on October 25th and 26th. The M2Filming Experience spin-off will be dedicated to the Mediterranean and the Train Journey.
Sorrento (Na), September 2nd, 2024 – At the end of August, the organizational machine of the Penisola Sorrentina Award is back to work. Two dates are marked in red on the calendar of the Sorrento municipal administration led by Massimo Coppola.
The final evening of “M2Filming Experience – Mezzogiorno e Mediterraneo” will take place on October 25th, the spin-off created to accompany the Award towards 30 years of activity that will fall in 2025.
The contest has two sections: one dedicated to the Mediterranean and the other to the train journey. The first was the subject of a workshop at the 54th edition of the Giffoni Film Festival last July. The second is promoted with the patronage of the Fondazione Ferrovie dello Stato and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transportation. The scientific partner of the two competitions is the Department of Political Sciences of the University of Campania Vanvitelli.
On October 26th, the evening of honor for cinema and audiovisual will take place with the spectacular award ceremony of the 29th edition to the protagonists of the big and small screen. Media partner of the television production is Rai Cinema Channel on which a special dedicated to the winners and protagonists of the event will be made, sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and included in the regional plan for the promotion of cinema by the Film Commission Regione Campania.
The location of the events is the Teatro comunale Tasso. On the morning of Saturday October 26, the Organization will also organize a special event called “Meet & Talk”, which will be hosted at the Museo Correale in Sorrento as part of the events reserved for the centenary of the famous museum institution.
