The Italian Ministry of Culture grants patronage to the 29th edition of the prestigious Sorrento film award
Rome, August 6th, 2024 – The Minister of Culture Gennaro Sangiuliano has granted the patronage of the Ministry of Culture (MIC) to the “Penisola Sorrentina” Award, an award dedicated to cinema and audiovisual media. The Head of Cabinet Francesco Gilioli communicated this to the Organization.
The television co-production of the event (included in the national and regional plan for film promotion) is promoted by the Municipal Administration of Sorrento directed by Massimo Coppola.
Two spin-offs are also planned for the year 2024: “Mediterraneo: viaggio delle vicinanze” (Mediterraneo travelling around)
and “Viaggio in treno – Train journey “, created with the moral patronage of the Fondazione Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport.
The prestigious institutional memberships, both national and regional, have always accompanied and attested to the national importance of the event, which contributes to the promotion of Sorrento, of Made in Italy and of the excellence of Italian and international culture.
The gala evening of the Premio Penisola Sorrentina is scheduled for October 26th at the Teatro Tasso in Sorrento (Tasso theater).
