Another international award of great value for the Genoese tenor.
Fabio Armiliato, one of the greatest interpreters of the international opera scene, will be awarded the prestigious “Caruso Tribute Prize” during the Gala evening to be held on October 15th, 2024 at the Italian Cultural Institute in New York. The award, now in its fifth edition, celebrates the Italian excellences that have contributed to bringing Italian art and culture to the world, in the name of the great Enrico Caruso.
The event, conceived by Dante Mariti and produced by Melos International, has become an important event to celebrate Italian talent in various sectors. The evening will not only be a tribute to Caruso, but also a recognition of the artists who, like Fabio Armiliato, have brought the Italian tradition to the highest international levels.

Fabio Armiliato began his career on the Italian stage, but it was with his international debut at the Metropolitan Opera in New York in 1993 that he reached his first great peak of success. Since then, he has interpreted iconic roles such as Radames in Aida, Cavaradossi in Tosca and Turiddu in Cavalleria rusticana, which soon became consolidated titles in his repertoire with performances all over the world, from Teatro alla Scala, to the Opéra National de Paris, to the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires and the Wiener Staatsoper.
In 2011, Armiliato also debuted in the world of cinema, playing a role in Woody Allen’s film “To Rome with Love“. This foray into the world of cinema has further demonstrated his ability to adapt to different artistic contexts, always maintaining an excellent interpretative quality.
Fabio Armiliato’s award ceremony will not be the only significant moment of the evening, which will also have a prologue on October 14th on the occasion of Columbus Day in New York. The Caruso Tribute Prize will in fact see the recognition of other important figures on the international scene. Among the winners will be the young tenor Alessandro Lora, Giuseppe Lucenti, alias Joseph Lu, for his work in favor of the diffusion of Italian culture in the United States, the actor Gianni Russo, Biagio Maimone, Rosario Procino and the Superintendent of the Carolina Opera Shanté Williams.

The evening of October 15th promises to be an event full of emotions and tributes to the great Italian tradition, of which Fabio Armiliato is undoubtedly one of the greatest representatives in the field of opera but not only.
With this award, Armiliato confirms himself as one of the most important ambassadors of Italian music in the world.
