Revman, the policeman rapper, writes to Carlo Conti: “Give me 1 minute and 53 seconds to bring a message of legality and respect to Sanremo“
Milan, January 31st, 2025 – A policeman who raps and asks to perform on the Sanremo stage to bring a message of legality and respect? This is the proposal of Revman, the policeman rapper, who wrote to Carlo Conti, artistic director of the Festival, asking for a space for his music and his values.
In the letter, Revman symbolically asks for 1 minute and 53 seconds on the Ariston stage to bring a message that today more than ever deserves attention: mutual respect and the value of friendship as the basis of a more united and supportive society.
The time requested is not a coincidence: 1 minute and 53 seconds is exactly the length of his song “L’amicizia è una cosa seria”, a piece that tells with simple and direct words the importance of authentic bonds in a world often dominated by superficial relationships. A song that in theme and sound fits perfectly with the atmosphere of the Sanremo Festival, always attentive to universal and valuable messages.
Thee letter to Sanremo: A song to spread universal value
In his letter, Revman explains the reason for his request, underlining the importance of giving space to positive and universal messages through music.
An excerpt from the letter sent to Conti:
“Sanremo is the home of Italian music, the place where words matter. I believe that today more than ever music must send strong and clear messages, the ability to unite and make people reflect. For this reason I ask you for the opportunity to bring a song on stage that tells a universal value: friendship. Even a few seconds can make a difference”.
Revman is not only an artist, but also a policeman who works in contact with young people and who, through rap, addresses important issues such as bullying, cyberbullying and respect for the rules, speaking directly to the new generations with a language close to them.
His rap between music and social commitment
In the meantime, Revman has just published the video clip of his latest song, Legittima Difesa, available on YouTube.
A powerful and direct song, which addresses the theme of defense as an act of necessity, without ever turning into a pretext to fuel violence. Legittima Difesa invites us to reflect on how important it is to prevent conflicts through dialogue and awareness.
A choice that will cause discussion
The idea of a rapper policeman on the stage of Sanremo is certainly new and could represent a strong signal of inclusion and dialogue between generations and apparently distant worlds.
Will Carlo Conti take into account the value that Revman, with his message of legality and respect, could bring benefits to the Festival? The answer is in his hands.
