EDU, the event is a unique opportunity to reflect and act on fundamental issues such as respect for the environment and the inclusion of foreign social communities.
On September 15th, 2024, from 10 am to 11:30 pm, at the outdoor spaces of Chikù (located at: viale della Resistenza, Scampia), a large live happening will take place that combines music, ecology and civil solidarity. Admission is free.
Come Suona il Caos? has a theme of public interest that is realized thanks to the volunteering and emotional drive of artists and associations that for years have demonstrated a particular sensitivity for environmental issues and civil rights.
The Chikù cultural and multiethnic center is a symbolic space for the Scampia neighborhood, one of the most complex and fascinating areas of Napoli. The choice of this location, already planned before the recent and painful events, takes on an even deeper meaning today, underlining the importance of a social impact that goes beyond words, favoring the rebirth of a community through culture, music and shared action.
“Come Suona il Caos?” was born from the vision of Maurizio Capone, leader of Capone & BungtBangt, the first Italian eco band that since 1999 plays and sings using instruments created entirely with recycled materials. The aim of the event is to explore and celebrate the bond between humans and nature, declining the concept of “environment” in both an ecological and social sense. In this context, the environment is not only the physical place, but also the human fabric that animates and transforms the territory, shaping it in harmony with nature.
Artists of the caliber of Zulù (99 Posse), Franco Ricciardi, Peppe Lanzetta, ‘A67, ‘O Rom, PeppOh have accepted Capone’s invitation. The activities will be completed by PodCaos Ediz. Scampia, the podcast curated by Antonio Porcelli who will create video interviews that will be broadcast on social media channels.
The 2024 edition will have ecology as its central theme, developed through a series of activities ranging from workshops to debates public. Particular attention will be paid to the relationship between sustainability and nomadism, exploring these issues from different perspectives.
With “Come Suona il Caos?” 2024 edition, Maurizio Capone launches a courageous challenge: to bring to light the cultural and social excellence of a territory often described only through negative narratives. The choice of Scampia, today more than ever,
represents an act of resilience and hope, an invitation to transform the suburbs into an epicenter of cultural and social rebirth.
