From Soviet to Nazi - Photo collection from Soviet to German architecture

An important document on Soviet and German architecture in Iran. The transformative architecture of the Pahlavi era has rich historical support: because skilled engineers from Russia and Germany made changes to the architectural space of Iran, and after years similar examples of this type of buildings are not seen. The book features photographs of schools and factories such as the Iranian foundry in Karaj, which, built in 1941 was never completed due to the Second World War. In fact, the building remained unfinished. Iran announced impartiality but the Allies attacked Iran and removed the Germans. Unfortunately, no intervention has been made to preserve these precious works and very few people know of their existence. The Iranian photographer tries to open the way for the first time to the knowledge of these buildings in the form of a very practical and authorial work.

Until now, the study of this topic has always been fragmentary and limited due to lack of “documents”. This book provides a detailed and illustrated collection that traces the architecture of the transformation era.
