The Premio Penisola Sorrentina (Sorrento Peninsula Award) prepares the 29th edition scheduled in Sorrento at the end of October. The synergies built for the realization of the events are important.
Sorrento (Napoli), May 27th, 2024 – This is the year of the 29th edition of the “Penisola Sorrentina” Award, an award dedicated to cinema and audiovisual, which is now a brand of cultural productions of national importance. A 360-degree event which is not limited to the award ceremony, but which over the course of the year, with the commitment and work of Mario Esposito, sees various autonomous and transversal cultural initiatives carried out.
For example, interesting are the spin-offs conceived and created in different places during the year.
Among these are: “Esprit de Voyage”, dedicated to Italo Calvino, the San Fele d’oro award, the Mediterranean South Filming organized in collaboration with the Department of Political Sciences of the University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli”.
The greatest expectation is obviously for the final evening of honor for cinema and audiovisual, which every year at the end of October turns the spotlight on the Sorrento coast, and which this year will take place in the renovated Teatro Tasso in Sorrento, with the artistic direction by Massimiliano Gallo and executive coordination by Rino Pinto.
The television production of the Award is promoted by the municipal administration of Sorrento. The awards show is instead organized by the Third Sector body “Il Simposio delle Muse”, in synergy with prestigious bodies including the General Directorate for Cinema and Audiovisual of the Ministry of Culture, the Campania Region Film Commission Foundation and the Metropolitan City of Naples .
Furthermore, the collaborations and partnerships built over time are significant, through widespread networking, including with important private groups active in the sustainability and publishing sectors. Among these are Marican Holding (CEO Ferdinando Canciello) and Fortune Italia Entertainment (Editorial editor Pier Paolo Mocci).
The official media partner of the Award will be the Rai Cinema Channel.
